These Terms & Conditions govern your use of LinkWise. By creating an account, purchasing a subscription or using LinkWise, you agree to these Terms.
1. About LinkWise
LinkWise is an online software service designed to help bloggers and website owners find and organise potential link-building and guest-post opportunities.
LinkWise can search the web for potentially relevant content and websites, assess potential opportunities, suggest guest-post ideas, provide information to help you prioritise opportunities, assist with drafting outreach and allow you to save and manage your activity through your LinkWise dashboard.
LinkWise is a research and organisation tool. We do not guarantee that any website will respond to you, accept a guest post, add a link or provide any particular SEO result.
2. Your account
You must provide accurate information when creating and maintaining your LinkWise account.
You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for activity carried out through your account.
You must not share your account in a way that circumvents any account, subscription, search or usage limits.
You must notify us if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.
3. Subscriptions and payment
Some LinkWise features require a paid subscription.
Current subscription prices, included searches and other applicable limits are displayed before purchase. Prices may also be displayed on the LinkWise website.
Payments are processed by Stripe or another payment provider we may use from time to time.
Unless stated otherwise when you subscribe, paid subscriptions renew automatically at the applicable billing interval until cancelled.
By purchasing a recurring subscription, you authorise us and our payment provider to charge the applicable subscription fee using your selected payment method on each renewal date until you cancel.
4. Cancelling your subscription
You can cancel your LinkWise subscription at any time through the available account or billing controls.
Unless applicable law requires otherwise, cancellation stops future renewals rather than immediately terminating your current paid period. You can continue using the paid service until the end of the billing period you have already paid for.
After that date, your account may revert to the free version of LinkWise or lose access to paid functionality.
5. Refunds
Except where a refund is required by applicable law, payments made to LinkWise are generally non-refundable.
We understand that circumstances can vary. You may contact us to request a refund, and we may choose to provide a full or partial refund where we consider it appropriate.
Any refund that you are not legally entitled to is provided entirely at our discretion. Our decision on discretionary refund requests is final.
The fact that we provide a refund in one situation does not mean that we are required to provide a refund in the same or similar circumstances in the future.
Nothing in these Terms limits or removes any statutory cancellation, refund or other consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
6. Searches and usage limits
LinkWise may limit usage through a number of included searches or other usage restrictions.
The number of searches included in a free or paid account will be displayed within the service or relevant subscription information.
A search may involve LinkWise carrying out multiple processes behind the scenes to identify and evaluate potential opportunities.
Searches have no monetary or cash value and cannot be sold, transferred or exchanged for cash.
Except where required by law, unused searches are not refundable or redeemable for money.
We may change search allowances or the way usage is measured for future subscription periods. Where a change materially affects an existing paid subscription, we will provide appropriate notice where required.
7. Search results and LinkWise Score
LinkWise uses automated systems, publicly available information and third-party data to identify and evaluate potential opportunities.
Search results are suggestions rather than guarantees.
The LinkWise Score is an estimate intended to help you compare and prioritise potential opportunities. It may consider signals relating to relevance, website quality, visibility or other available information.
A high LinkWise Score does not guarantee that a website is suitable, trustworthy, safe or willing to work with you.
You should review opportunities yourself before deciding whether to contact a website or rely on information provided through LinkWise.
Third-party data can also be incomplete, inaccurate or out of date.
8. Outreach and your responsibilities
LinkWise can help you research opportunities and prepare outreach, but you remain responsible for deciding who you contact and what you send.
LinkWise does not guarantee that contacting a particular person or organisation is lawful.
You are responsible for ensuring that your outreach complies with applicable laws and regulations, including UK GDPR, the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) and equivalent rules that may apply in other jurisdictions.
The fact that contact information is publicly available does not necessarily mean that you have permission or a lawful basis to send marketing communications to that contact.
Different rules may apply depending on whether a recipient is a limited company or another type of organisation, an individual, sole trader or certain partnerships.
LinkWise finding or displaying information should not be treated as legal advice or as confirmation that contacting a recipient is lawful.
9. Outreach drafts
Any outreach email, guest-post pitch, article angle or other suggested text generated through LinkWise is provided as a starting point.
You should review and, where appropriate, edit generated content before using it.
You remain responsible for communications you choose to send.
LinkWise does not send outreach emails on your behalf unless a feature is explicitly described otherwise.
10. Opt-outs and suppression
If someone asks you not to contact them again, you must respect that request where required.
Where LinkWise provides suppression or do-not-contact functionality, you can use it to help prevent a contact from being surfaced to your account again.
You must not deliberately circumvent suppression features or use LinkWise to repeatedly contact someone who has asked you to stop.
11. Acceptable use
You must not use LinkWise to:
- send or facilitate unlawful unsolicited bulk marketing
- harass, threaten or abuse another person
- deliberately contact people who have asked you not to contact them
- use discovered information for unlawful purposes
- scrape, extract or systematically copy LinkWise data outside the intended functionality of the service
- resell or redistribute contact information or opportunity data obtained through LinkWise
- attempt to circumvent search, account or subscription limits
- interfere with the security or operation of LinkWise
- use LinkWise to violate another person’s privacy or intellectual property rights
- use LinkWise for fraudulent, deceptive or otherwise unlawful activity
We may suspend or terminate accounts that we reasonably believe are being used in breach of these Terms.
12. Third-party websites and services
LinkWise searches and references websites that we do not own or control.
The inclusion of a website, article or contact within LinkWise does not mean that we endorse, approve or have a relationship with that website or its owner.
Websites can change after LinkWise discovers them.
LinkWise may also rely on third-party services and data providers to provide certain functionality. We are not responsible for third-party websites, services or information outside our reasonable control.
13. No guarantee of SEO results
SEO and link building are affected by many factors outside LinkWise’s control.
We therefore do not guarantee:
- backlinks
- guest-post placements
- outreach responses
- search rankings
- increases in traffic
- increases in website authority
- revenue or other commercial results
LinkWise is designed to make opportunity research, prioritisation and organisation easier. It cannot guarantee what another website, search engine or person will do.
14. Availability of the service
We aim to keep LinkWise available and working reliably, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access.
From time to time, LinkWise may be unavailable because of maintenance, technical problems, third-party service failures or circumstances outside our reasonable control.
We may modify, improve, replace or discontinue individual features as the product develops.
Where a change materially affects a paid service, we will take reasonable steps to communicate it where appropriate.
15. Intellectual property
LinkWise, including its software, branding, design, interface, scoring systems and original website content, is owned by us or used by us under licence and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
Using LinkWise does not transfer ownership of our intellectual property to you.
You may not copy, reproduce, reverse engineer, resell or commercially exploit LinkWise or substantial parts of the service except where expressly permitted by law or by us in writing.
You retain ownership of content and information you provide to LinkWise, subject to the rights reasonably necessary for us to process that information and provide the service.
16. Limitation of liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot legally be excluded.
Subject to those rights, LinkWise is provided as an online research, organisation and outreach-support tool.
We are not responsible for decisions you make based on suggested opportunities, LinkWise Scores, generated drafts or third-party information.
We are also not responsible for whether another website responds to your outreach, accepts your content, removes or adds a link, or for changes made by search engines.
Nothing in these Terms affects statutory consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded or restricted.
17. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to LinkWise if you materially breach these Terms, use the service unlawfully, misuse the platform or create a security risk for LinkWise or other users.
Where appropriate, we may give you an opportunity to correct a breach before terminating your account.
Serious abuse, fraud, unlawful activity or deliberate attempts to circumvent our systems may result in immediate suspension or termination.
18. Changes to prices and subscriptions
We may change LinkWise’s pricing, included searches or subscription plans in the future.
Changes will not retrospectively alter amounts you have already paid.
Where a change affects the price of an existing recurring subscription, we will provide notice before the new price takes effect where required by law.
You can cancel your subscription if you do not wish to continue at the new price.
19. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as LinkWise develops or where changes are required for legal, regulatory, security or operational reasons.
The latest version will be published on our website with an updated Last updated date.
Where changes materially affect existing users, we will provide reasonable notice where appropriate or legally required.
20. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
If you are a consumer, you may also benefit from mandatory protections provided by the laws applicable where you live, and nothing in these Terms removes rights that cannot legally be excluded.
21. Contact
If you have questions about these Terms, your subscription, cancellation or a refund request, you can contact us at info@getlinkwise.com.
